I've never been a Studio Ghibli hardcore fan but I do know there's a huge fan base and understand why so many people love and cherish these movies. They're beautifully told, break a lot of barriers, have strong characters and unique stories. I always enjoy the feeling of innocence throughout. Yes, these characters go through rough situations but still maintain an air of pureness rarely seen. Even Disney, whose a major animation studio, still has naughty jokes.
So that's why I decided to show my top 10 favorite Studio Ghibli films. I know some people will disagree with my choices because Howl's Moving Castle is a fan favorite and it's not on my top 10 or because Princess Mononoke is really low on this list. That's not to say I think those not included here are bad movies. I think they're all good in their own ways but it is not one I connected as much as the others.
