Story: The story of a King's quest for immortality that leads him to capture a beautiful mermaid who can provide his desire and an illegitimate daughter who gets in the way. Or something along those lines.

This project has been in production hell since 2015 because apparently there's been some behind the scenes drama involving Bing Bing Fan (the actress playing the mermaid) among other things. There is some light at the end of my tunnel: The film is being distributed by "Arclight Films" anytime soon.

I am a fan of mermaids. My favorite being "The Little Mermaid" and I've yet to see one as good as that one (probably "Mako Mermaids"). I am hopeful that this will turn out alright. The cast is what initially caught my attention. Kaya Scodelario is the lead and she's been a favorite of mine since "Skins". She's grown so much as an actress. We also have Benjamin Walker (Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter), Julie Andrews (The Princess Diaries) lends her voice as the narrator and Pierce Brosnan (James Bond).
Just watch the damn trailer:
