I'm not sure how reliable this information is, but apparently there's been a leak from the SCRE5M production. The leaked information says both Courtney Cox & Neve Campbell are back.
No one has confirmed this yet. But I can't think of a "Scream" sequel without its principal actors back. Sidney, Gale & Dewey are iconic characters in the slasher world by now.
Still, part of me obviously wants them back because this is their story after all. But part of me also wants a new story with a new cast because I don't want the original cast to be killed off. But I guess if they do come back one of them will bite the dust.
There's some fan speculation suggesting that Samara Weaving ("Ready Or Not") be cast for this sequel (which isn't so far-fetched because they're the same director). Some are even suggesting she'd be the opening kill. I'd be up for that. She's a great actress.
